# Portfolio for holders

The holder side of Selcier, a place to complete identity checks, keep Selcier Share Tokens, take part in raises and Liquidity Windows, vote, and follow company disclosures.

Holders meet Selcier through Portfolio. If you are an investor, an employee or an early shareholder, this is where you review your holdings, vote, read company material, and join raises or liquidity events. Go to [app.selcier.xyz/portfolio](https://app.selcier.xyz/portfolio) to open it.

## Your first visit

There are two ways in: a link to an offering, or an invitation from a company that has put its cap table on-chain.

1. **Prove who you are.** Verification runs inside Portfolio with one of Selcier's verification providers, and most people finish the same day. Signed [claims](/fundamentals/verified-holders.md) recording the result then go into the company's `IdentityRegistry`. Personal details and documents stay off-chain.
2. **Choose a wallet.** Portfolio can create an embedded wallet for you, or you can bring any EVM wallet with Robinhood Chain support. Embedded wallets rely on passkeys, and you are free to export yours at any time.
3. **Get your shares.** Existing shareholders will see their holdings as tokens after the company finishes its migration.

Holder actions in Portfolio have their gas paid by Selcier, which means ETH is never something you need to hold.

## What you own

Each share class you hold appears in the main view, whichever company issued it. A position shows:

* a share balance that reflects the current `uiMultiplier`
* the most recent [Reference Valuation](/fundamentals/valuation-publishing.md), dated and sourced
* each lot, its acquisition date, and whether a holding period, vesting schedule or freeze has locked it
* the unlocked balance: what you could move today, assuming all other rules allow it

Employee shares that have not vested do appear, flagged as locked until the relevant tranche vests.

## Joining a raise

Offerings open to you are listed here. Read the offering documents, check their hashes in the `DisclosureRegistry`, then deposit USDG to subscribe. On-chain escrow holds your money until the close. A raise that misses its minimum lets you take back the whole deposit. [Subscribe to a raise](/walkthroughs/subscribe-to-a-raise.md) walks through it.

## Ways to sell

The routes available depend on what the company has enabled, and Portfolio supports them all:

| Route | How it works for you |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Liquidity Windows** | Place a sell order while a window is open. Your USDG arrives inside the sale transaction itself, and until clearing your tokens remain locked. [Sell your shares in a window](/walkthroughs/sell-your-shares.md) has the steps. |
| **RFQ** | If the company permits it, ask other eligible holders for quotes or accept theirs. |
| **Permissioned pools** | If the company has opted in, swap through an approved pool. |

Prior to any signature, Portfolio performs the identical `canTransfer` check the contract will perform. So rather than a failed transaction, a blocked transfer gives you a plain explanation, for example "Your shares from this lot are in a holding period until 14 March".

## Getting paid

Dividends and other distributions are calculated on what you held at the record block. Anything unclaimed is listed in Portfolio, and a single step collects it.

## Casting a vote

A proposal shows its options, snapshot block, closing date, and a binding or advisory label. Multiply your snapshot balance by the share class multiplier and you have your voting weight. Vote yourself, or hand your vote to another holder by delegating.

## Reading company material

Verified holders receive financial statements, updates and other documents from the companies they hold. To confirm a document is unchanged since publication, compare it against the hash and anchoring transaction listed beside it.

## Keeping your account safe

* Passkeys protect embedded wallets, and more than one device can be registered.
* A lost wallet does not mean lost shares: the company can move your tokens to a replacement wallet through [recovery](/fundamentals/tokenized-share-classes.md). That process needs you to verify your identity again, two of three parties to approve, and a 72 hour delay anyone can see on-chain.
* Claims have expiry dates. To keep your shares transferable, Portfolio prompts you ahead of time when something like `SCREENED` is due for a refresh.

{% hint style="info" %}
Portfolio only displays on-chain state. Custody stays with your wallet, and Selcier does not hold your tokens.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.selcier.xyz/the-platform/holder-portfolio.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
